Ready to view what colleges really have to offer? Not sure what majors are available or what the costs are to attend? I have exciting news!! The PROBE Fair is coming in October & November and will be presented as a full on-line experience this year!
The PROBE Fair has over 100 participating colleges, most of them in-state. The format this year will be held the first week of October and November so you will have lots of opportunities to sign up and view different sessions from admissions reps at whatever colleges you are interested in learning more about. The format will be on ZOOM. This format offers you 6 days to explore the colleges you want, ask questions, and sign up for additional information, such as how to apply and find out what scholarships are available. IN ADDITION (can you tell I am really excited about this?!?) There will be reps from AMAZING groups such as: COLLEGE ESSAY GUY: how to write that admission essay UGA: Inclusion & Diversity CAMPUS VISITS: Making the most of it! FINANCIAL AID!! TESTING requirements: TO TEST OR NOT TO TEST (this is huge right now) ENROLLING in classes Below is the website. You MUST register for sessions and the details and process is on the website. gaprobe.org/students Please explore this site and register, even if you are in 9th grade. It is never too early to begin gathering knowledge about your options. I wish we could have the traditional format in which these reps visit the high school and you have a designated time to walk around and explore, but this format is going to be great! Plus, your family can participate in this too! BREAKING NEWS JUST IN!!! The University System of Georgia announced this afternoon that due to the stress of ACT/SAT cancellations and the uncertainty of scheduling future tests, test score requirements for admission will be waived for the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2021! However, before you do your happy dance, proceed with caution. Admissions will adjust GPA requirements and possibly other admissions criteria. I would strongly advise that if you are scheduled to take a test, go ahead and take it. You may need it to submit to the University later on, after you are admitted. You will still need it for Zell Miller eligibility. You may need it to apply to out of state schools or for certain scholarships. Please read the formal statement

I know it may feel like stressful and confusing times, BUT, you have tons of support! Don't hesitate to reach out to me or your School Counselor if you have questions. Now, go do your happy dance! Last gentle reminder that the ACT interest form for the October 6th test date at JHS is due to day and so is the Peachstate Tour sign ups.
